Update : full banzuke on-line. (yes, it took more time than usual)

Here it is, Hatsu 2008 banzuke ! It was not an easy doing to make it, obviously in the top of the banzuke. If Zenjimoto's promotion to komusubi was done, after his good 10-5 in Kyûshû 2007, the question was about his promotion to sekiwake with the risk to disturb the sanyaku's ranks with 3 sekiwake...

Same reflexion about komusubi(s) Neko and Susanoo after their short kachi-koshi (both 8-7) in november. At last, how to do in those circumstances with the 9-6 made by Konosato and Fuseigou, as Maegashira 3 East and West ?

Actually, The Sages decided to keep only 2 sekiwake spots (Kotononami and Whiskytsumi) and 4 komusubi spots (Neko, Susanoo, Zenjimoto and Konosato). Maybe Neko, Susanoo and Zenjimoto will consider that The Sages were not "cool" with them. Konosato is back in sanyaku because he did a good second week and got 2 sanshô.

Basically, the making of this banzuke gave priority to kachi-koshi's players. That's why Terarno and Kitano would think their demotion were "uncool". Do our gyôji's duties were not easy this time. We hope our dear players understand our position and our choices.

Last thing : we wish the best to our new players : Gusoyama and Anjoboshi. Welcome aboard !
